Detailed Description
Specifications
“Five Masts at Sea” by Robert MacIsaac Watercolor, 20th Century Realist, Impressionism, Expressionist, Naturalistic, Seascape This is an extraordinarily beautiful watercolor painting by Robert MacIsaac, a former Michigan resident. He is a masterful painter and his tremendous skill is evident in this piece entitled “Five Masts at Sea.” His use of watercolors is exquisite and sophisticated as this painting was made with a sense of expressionism. The soft texture of the sky that MacIsaac created brings the image to life. The level of fine detail in the ship is magnificent and is expertly rendered with a sense of three-dimensionality. This watercolor has a strong harmony within the piece as the composition of all the visual elements creates a balance. This very desirable piece is complimented by an exquisite medium oak frame with beautiful, detail design near the outer edge. The frame was carefully selected and individually crafted by our reputable in-house framing studio and renowned master framer. The piece is further complimented by the quality double matting. Both the top and bottom mat are a green-blue tone, bringing out the calming colors of the seascape. The painting measures a total of 26” x 34”, including the frame. Signed in the bottom right corner to further mark its true authenticity, this painting is an example of artistic genius. This painting is $3,500 and would be a valuable investment to any art enthusiast’s collection. Robert MacIsaac was born and raised in Detroit, MI. In October of 1925, he came into this world, and from an early age exhibited outstanding artistic talent. MacIsaac served overseas in the American Army in World War II, in both the Philippines and New Guinea. He returned to Michigan after his service had ended, where he gained widespread recognition for his spectacular landscapes and his unique, artistic realism in maritime paintings. MacIsaac was also a renowned graphic designer, with his work including the Seal of the City of Novi.
