Ross is a truly talented artist who uses a brilliant grasp of shading and brushstrokes in this medium to create a most splendid and appealing natural landscape, true to his skill and upbringing. This very attractive original oil painting has truly captured the overwhelmingly grand essence of nature. The artist used thick brush strokes to convey the feeling of a soft breeze rustling the scenery and the lake is absolutely luminous. The clouds from the sky reflect off the simmering water and the artist’s talent can be seen in the difficultly rendered reflections of the trees and sun in the serene blue lake. Following the lake towards the horizon line, the viewer’s eye is brought upon a rustic red and white Bavarian-style cottage that is nestled by three snow-capped rolling mountains in the background. This helps to divide the composition and create an essential pattern of light and dark, while also demonstrating a nice depth in the painting. The brushstrokes create pleasant textures that are expressive of the quiet and inspiring view of nature.

The great artist Ross was born in the picturesque town of Bavaria, Rosenheim in 1925. He grew up surrounded by the beauty and wonder of nature found in this area of mountains and lakes. He received his formal art education in the art academy in Munich, but was then working in small villages throughout the Bavarian Alps. He has participated in group exhibitions in Munich, Innsbruck, and Salzburg.

This artist’s work is extremely fascinating and is further complemented by an expensive, original ornate golden frame. This unique frame is comprised of three different parts, an outer indented gold section with a lavish green layer in between another indented gold section. This fantastic frame is offset by a red linen mat, that when combined with the painting, gives the whole piece a rustic quality. The dimensions of the piece of art, in its entirety, are 28” x 32” and are well worth the $480 we are asking. This tantalizing work would be a great addition to any fine art collection.

If shipment is undeliverable for any reason, or buyer refuses shipment, buyer will be responsible for shipping fees, return shipping fees, duties, taxes, and any costs incurred in returning. Customs delays: We cannot control the speed of international shipping. If your country is experiencing any postal strikes, customs delays, et cetera, we are unable to increase the shipping time. Returns:	All returns are accepted within 7 business days of purchase. After 7 business days, the buyer is responsible for a $20 or 10% restocking fee, whichever is greater, and all other pertinent return costs.
