This is a skilled needlepoint work signed SRL and dated 1977, entitled, “Potted Flowers”. This particular needlepoint is done in several sections. It is first split in half, with one large section at the bottom and three smaller sections at the top and bordered in black thread. The lower and largest sections features three potted plants of bright, saturated red, yellow and green. You’ll notice the use of shadow in the ceramic style pots, and skilled and intricate detail. The upper right hand section features two plants of similar colors and shape whereas the left has red, orange and yellow flowers to complement the purple cool hues. This pieces is interesting both mathematically as well as artistically interesting.

The beautiful wooden frame with a gold metal inner lining, complements the colors in the needlepoint wonderfully. This piece makes a perfect addition to any home or collection and is sure to brighten up any space.
